Well we have been in our new house in the Limousin for six months now and much of that has been without good internet. We are slowly getting sorted with internet, van with French number plates and getting into the medical system. Not having a lot of French language between us has led to some interesting times in various offices but everyone has been very helpful and we have all, without exception, had lots of laughs, do not let anyone tell you that the French are stuffy.
The main difference that we have encountered compared with living in the Pennines are; the weather, it does not rain everyday, the soooo quiet roads and we can park in any town or village with ease and FREE.
As we are now into November and everyone told us how cold it could get we installed a wood pellet stove and as of yet a 4 euro bag of pellets lasts us a week, they have no idea what cold is until they have spent a life time in Todmorden
Ok so we miss the rallies with you lot but if any of you are heading down through France we have space for a couple of vans and can even sort electric hook up out and you will be very welcome
Will keep you posted as to if it gets as cold as people say as winter progresses
